Michael earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and mathematics from Syracuse University and an MBA in accounting from Union College, Schenectady, NY. He is a manager for Ineo Global Mobility, a software company that provides specialized tax services. He and his wife, Cheryl, have been married 37 years; they have a daughter and a son. In the parish, he serves as a lector, extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, and altar server.
"Earlier this year, Father Ed Yuhas wrote to Bishop Zubik requesting consideration be given for an additional deacon to be assigned to Saint Katharine Drexel Parish to assist with our many spiritual and pastoral needs. Our parish is ever so grateful to Bishop Zubik for appointing Deacon Mike Gatto to serve as deacon at our parish. Deacon Mike will begin his ministry at our parish on Monday, October 17, 2022. Deacon Mike will assist Father Ed and joins our clergy team with Deacon Tom Raymond and our retired priest in residence, Father Don Chortos."
