The Food Collection Ministry supplies emergency food to needy, low-income families. The recipients must meet the income guidelines. Food is donated weekly by parishioners at Sacred Heart Church and on the 3rd Sunday of the month at Immaculate Conception and St. Hilary Churches.
The Community Circle Food Pantry serves over 500 families each month. They also provide the extras that a family may not be able to provide. IC Parish Food Ministry replenishes empty shelves and adds variety to the menu of hundreds of families in Washington. As you grocery-shop this month, please consider picking up a few extra items to donate.
Our Food Ministry and the Community Circle Food Pantry needs YOU. We need volunteers to help pack and deliver the packages to the Washington Arbors, Bassettown and Crumrine Towers one Wednesday a month for a few hours. We also need help in carrying the bundles downstairs to the sorting bins after each Mass on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
